ELIE SAAB EXQUISITE COUTURE

Image
Haute Couture refers to the creation of exclusive custom-fitted clothing . Haute couture is made to order for a specific customer, and it is usually made from high-quality, expensive fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable seamstresses, often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques, there are no machines involved in the process. Each garment is a unique peace of art work. Understanding the meaning and what it takes to make these clothing I present the latest Elie Saab Haute Couture runway. Its angelical, beautiful and in every way, how I see it, organic three-dimensional pieces of art. VIEW ENTIRE COLLECTION

VIOLIN CONCERTO

Image
The Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 35 was written by Pyotr Tchaikovsky in 1878 in Clarens , a Swiss resort on the shores of Lake Geneva , where Tchaikovsky had gone to recover from depression. Tchaikovsky was joined there by his composition pupil, the violinist Iosif Kotek . Tchaikovsky wrote to his brother Anatoly: "It goes without saying that I would have been able to do nothing without Losif. He plays it marvelously." Tchaikovsky wanted to dedicate the concerto to Iosif Kotek, but felt constrained by the gossip this would cause about the true nature of his relationship with the younger man. (They were almost certainly lovers at one point.) The concert is considered to be among the most technically difficult works for violin . I love it. Its beautiful, strong and soft.

DECONSTRUCTIVISM

Image
Architecture in Fashion "Starting in the late 1980’s, Post-modernism shifted to “Post-post-modernism,” also referred to as Deconstructivism. Deconstructivist architects attempted to deconstruct architecture by “exploding “ the Building, its elements resulting in a style that is non-systematic an unorthodox. Deconstructivism is characterized by disjointed angles and unbalanced appearance." - Warpedeco Shoes: Laser Pump Break Mid & Lo Res by United Nude / Buildings: Michael Lee-Chin Cristal Royal Ontario Museum & The Libeskind Villa by Daniel Libeskind

GIAMBATTISTA VALLI SPRING 2011

Image
In more than one way the designs of Giambattista Valli are a reinterpretation of the life, architecture, decoration, and sensations found at versailles. Valli gave all the pieces the form and designs, as well as the sensations of the Petit Trianon. He gave the collection the ease and softness of life at the Trianon, the organza petals and skirts combined with the sandals and the soft colors alludes to the romantic and easy life lived there by Marie Antoinette. The color pallet in the collection is a sample of all the colors found in the architecture and landscape, and the prints and embroidery are fragments of the Baroque stucco that decorated the buildings. Valli describes his collection as "romantic, rebel, rock and royal". I describe his work as genius; He managed to reinterpret the Trianon and the life lived there in a very smart and beautiful way!.

VALENTINO RTW SPRING 2011

"The designers' focused Spring collection wasn't so much a step forward as it was a refinement of ideas they proposed for Fall." - style.com, Nicole Phelps Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri did miracles with fabric, they played with a sepia palette and gave color in the accessories. Ruffles, lace and embroidery were the protagonists of the season which gave e ach piece a careless, soft and extremely detailed complexion.
