Arturo Monroy

I can’t imagine what would have been going into the house of great Miguel Angel, but no doubt it would’ve been something similar to what I experienced in the house of “Mr. Great and Favorite painter” Arturo Monroy. As soon as you walk into the door you know you are in presence of greatness. Is not only a house, it’s a studio, gallery and home, what a great combination of great spaces. Just as his paintings, Monroy’s house was decorated with his notorious rustic and brilliant style, every room with drops of his thick brushstroke personality. Windy, white and with great light. From his beans sculptures to the huge Atitlan Lake reinterpretation painting, every thing looked great. I hope you enjoy, as much as I did, this picture tour through the spaces of his mind.
